Tattoos and Keloids
Keloid disorder is a genetic condition of the skin, whereby a triggering event such as a wounding of skin can result in the formation of keloids. During the tattooing process, the skin is injured by the tattooing needles.
The injury of the tattooing process can indeed lead to the formation of keloids. Treatment of this type of keloid is extremely difficult. All those who have been diagnosed with keloid disorder should avoid tattooing or piercing procedures.
