Pubic Keloids – Case Study 7 – Large Tumoral Pubic Keloid:
This 23-year-old female presented in early 2019 for treatment of a large tumoral pubic keloid shown in image below. This keloid had been present for a few years and had previously been treated with steroid injections without a noticeable response.
The keloid was treated with Cryotherapy in February 2019, using long-acting local anesthetic. The patient experienced no pain during or after the treatment.
The patient returned in April 2019 for follow up. The bulk of the keloid had already come off. The base of the keloid was slightly raised. Patient was advised to receive intralesional steroid injections to the base of the keloid, however, she decided just to observe the lesion.

Tumoral Pubic Keloid Treated with Cryotherapy - April 2019

She returned in October of 2019 with minimal recurrence of the keloid at the base of the treated area. The area was injected with Steroids.
This patient obviously will need more treatments to keep the base of the lesion flat and free of keloid. We will post follow up photographs of this lesion once the patient returns to our office.
