Pubic Keloids – Case Study 3 – Large Tumoral Pubic Keloid:
This patient presented at the end of January 2012 with a relatively large keloid in her pubic area. She had previously been treated with surgery and radiation therapy, however her keloid has relapsed and grown to size that was much larger than the original keloid that was removed surgically.
Large Tumoral Pubic Keloid
The keloid was treated with cryotherapy. Withing a few months, significant reduction in the mass of keloid was achieved.
Bulky Pubic Keloid treated with cryotherapy.
Reduction in the mass of such a bulky keloid is the first step in the overall treatment plan. This is often achieved with cryotherapy. Treatment should continue with injecting effective drugs into the remnant of the keloid in order to maximize the outcome.
