Linear Keloid:
Keloids can take various shapes. A rather common form of keloid is the linear form, whereby keloids grow and spread in a linear manner. Not much is known about the reasons and biology behind this or any other form of the keloid. Linear keloids have to be differentiated from hypertrophic scars that form as a line over a scar.
Treatment of linear keloid can be challenging, and as small as these lesions maybe, treating them often takes time and requires frequent visits. Steroid injections are often the first line of treatment for these keloids.
